Canon of solar eclipses from 2501 BCE to 1000 CE
Also known as: solec
This project examined several applications of astronomical chronology in the field of classical studies. This dataset contains calculations of notable solar eclipses for the period between 2500 BCE and 1000 CE for the areas of present-day Greece, Turkey, Italy, Persia and Egypt. The aim of the study was to create a solar eclipse canon with identifications of the eclipses recorded in historical sources.
